Last updated 28 October 2026. By using WritSpeak you agree to these terms. They are written in plain English; if anything is unclear, message the WritSpeak Team.

1. What WritSpeak is

• WritSpeak is a practice tool for IELTS Writing and Speaking. It gives estimates and feedback to help you improve.
• Results are not official IELTS scores and do not predict your real result. Only an official test centre can give you an IELTS score.
• WritSpeak is not connected to, approved by or affiliated with IELTS, the British Council, IDP or Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
• Pronunciation is not scored from text. Feedback is produced automatically by AI and can contain mistakes. Use your own judgement, and ask the WritSpeak Team if you are unsure.

2. Free use, plans and access codes

• The free plan includes one Writing check and one Speaking check every calendar month. Reading and Listening answer-key marking is free.
• Paid plans are bought from the WritSpeak Team: email us, and we reply with the price and how to pay. You then receive an access code. The plan starts on the day the code is created and lasts for the period shown when you buy it (72 hours from your first check for Express, 30 days, 60 days for Exam Sprint, or 3 months).
• Each plan has the allowances shown on the Plans section of the home page. Unused checks do not carry over to the next period.
• A check that fails for a technical reason, or an answer too short to assess, is not counted.
• An access code is for one student. It can be used on a small number of devices. Codes that are shared or sold on may be switched off.
• For problems with a payment or a code, email support@writspeak.com. Refunds follow the refund policy.

3. Fair use

• Submit your own work, or work you have permission to submit.
• Do not try to break, overload or get around the limits of the site, and do not use it to process content that is illegal or abusive.
• Daily safety limits protect the service for everyone. If you reach one, try again the next day.

4. Guides and model answers

• The guides are written with AI assistance and checked automatically by a separate AI reviewer against official public information about the test. Guides marked "Reviewed by the WritSpeak Team" have also been read by him.
• Guides, model answers and practice questions are for your own study. Please do not copy them to other websites or sell them.
• If you find a mistake in a guide, tell the WritSpeak Team and it will be corrected.

5. Your answers and your data

Your essays and recordings remain yours. How they are processed, what is saved and how to ask for deletion is explained in the privacy policy.

6. Availability and changes

• We try to keep WritSpeak working at all times, but it can sometimes be unavailable, for example during updates or if a service provider has a problem.
• We may change features, allowances, prices for new plans and these terms. Plans you have already paid for keep the allowances you bought until they end. The date at the top shows the latest version.
